At this year’s World Nuclear Exhibition (WNE) in Paris, eddylab will present its new SXL sensor series for safety-critical applications in nuclear technology for the first time. The robust displacement and distance sensors have been specifically developed for operation under extreme conditions such as high radiation, temperature, and pressure.
The new SXL sensors operate using a contactless, inductive measuring principle. This is wear-free and guarantees maintenance-free, long-term operation. With graduated measuring ranges from 25 to 400 mm and an operating temperature of up to 370 °C, the series meets the highest standards for precision and robustness.
To comply with industry-specific safety and quality standards, eddylab considers all regulatory requirements according to the international IEEE and RCC-E standards, which are essential for electrical systems in nuclear technology, during the development of the new sensor series.![]()
With the new SXL series, eddylab not only offers a K1-qualifiable sensor series but a fully coordinated complete system with two different qualification levels: In addition to the K1-qualifiable components, which meet all requirements for installation inside containment, eddylab provides K3-qualifiable components for use outside containment. More information on the SXL sensor series and the modular system solution with all components can be found in our press release.
