eddyMOTION is a powerful windows software used in conjunction with the TX-Driver. The targeted area of application is the visualisation and documentation of mechanical motion and the on-site linearisation of eddy current sensors.
eddyMOTION as analysis tool
eddyMOTION is made up as an universal analysis tool for the USB based data stream from the TX-Driver. The requirements in signal analysis can be of various nature - therefore eddyMOTION is structured in several modules. The different modules can be used to monitor fast and slow motion. The measured data can be displayed in the time- and in the frequency domain. The underlying sampling rates are 22.5 kSa/s in the two channel version and 38 kSa/s in the single channel version.
The three different eddyMOTION versions and their functionality
eddyMOTION is available in three different versions: Lite, Standard and Reference. The Lite Version – delivered with every eddy current sensor system – offers an Oscilloscope function.
The eddyMOTION standard Version provides further features as FFT analyser, Waterfall and Data logger. The eddyMOTION Reference Version enables the on-site linearisation of eddy current sensors with an active feedback system.
Sampled data is displayed with basic measurements in the style of a classical oscilloscope
|Triggering a tuning fork|
Fast-Fourier transformation. Spectral analysis of mechanical motion. Analysis of fundamental oscillation and harmonics
|Spectrum of a tuning fork|
The waterfall is a classical FFT expanded with a time axis.
|Waterfall of a tuning fork
The rpm-based waterfall is a FFT expanded with the rpm-axis of a rotating shaft.
|RPM-based waterfall of an overcritical rotating shaft.|
